Ingredients

  • 2 Cup Maida
  • 1 Cup Refined Sugar To make refined sugar you can grind the crystal sugar
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • ½ Cup Milk Powder
  • ¾ Cup Un-Salted Butter You can also use ghee or refined oil as a substitute
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Essence You can also use any other essence of your preference
  • ½ Tsp Baking Powder

Instructions

Making The Basic Eggless Vanilla Sponge Cake Batter

  • Mix refined sugar and unsalted butter in a mixing bowl. Mix well so that there are no lumps and sugar is completely dissolved. You can also use a hand electric hand mixer if required. Make sure that you stir the mixture only in one direction while mixing anything.
  • Add vanilla essence in the mixture and stir well.
  • Add milk powder and milk. Stir the mixture well only in one direction as used above.

  • Add baking powder and mix well. You can add water to the mixture if the cake batter is thick.

Baking The Basic Eggless Vanilla Sponge Cake

  • Grease the cake tin using oil or ghee and dust the cake tin using maida.
  • Preheat the oven at 180-degree celcius.
  • Pour the mixture in cake tin till 1/2 the container capacity.
  • Bake the eggless vanilla cake in the oven for 40-45 minutes.
  • After 40 minutes you can check the cake by inserting a knife. If the knife comes outs clean than the eggless vanilla cake is ready. If there is some mixture on knife bake the cake for 5 more minutes. Repeat the step till the knife comes out clean.
  • Leave the cake for 7-8 minutes at room temperature. Take out the cake from the container and delicious eggless vanilla cake is ready.
